🇸🇪 Nytt garn! 🇺🇸 New yarn!

🇸🇪 I förra veckan kom det ett spännande paket med posten. Lådan innehöll tre nystan Eliza och två garnkakor Whirl. Båda är av märket Scheepjes. Ni hittar dem hos favoritgarner.se

🇺🇸 Last week I had a very exciting package arriving with the mail. The box contained three skeins of Eliza and two yarn cakes Whirl. Both by Scheepjes.

🇸🇪 Jag måste erkänna att jag hade fördomar mot Elizagarnet som består av 100% Polyester. Jag virkar helst i bomullsgarn och antog att detta garn skulle ludda och inte hålla formen. Men jag kunde inte förneka att garnet var supermjukt och jättegosigt. Min ena dotter sa genast att hon ville att jag skulle göra en sjal till henne i de två enfärgade nystanen. Jag satte igång och började virka och blev väldigt positivt överraskad. Garnet är följsamt, luddar inte det minsta och är trots sin mjukhet ganska stramt vilket ger en fantastisk maskdefinition. Jag har virkat upp det bruna och rosa nystanet och ska beställa hem mer från favoritgarner.se så jag kan göra sjalen större. Eftersom garnet är ganska tjockt så ha det en skön tyngd i sig och jag tror att det passar till sjalar, filtar, kuddar, amigurumis med mera.

🇺🇸 I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical to the Eliza yarn since it is made out of 100% Polyester. I prefer to crochet with cotton and I asumed that the yarn would have a lot of lint and I didn’t expect it to keep the shape. But I could not deny that it was very soft and squishy. One of my daughters asked me to make her a shawl usin the plain colours. I got to work right away and was pleasantly surprised. The yarn is pliable, doesn’t lint, and even if it’s super soft, it’s still quite firm which gives the crocheted item a nice stitch definition. I have finished the two skeins and will order more so I can make the shawl bigger. Since the yarn is bulky, it gives the item some weight to it and I think it would work great for shawls, blankets, cushions, amigurumis etc.
